How to read a Sēkret label

The active ingredient, the amount per dose, the other ingredients and the warnings. What each line is for and what it is not.

By The Sēkret Health pharmacists

A bottle of Sekret Calm ashwagandha capsules lying on a bed of white capsules, label facing up

Every label carries the same four things: what the active ingredients are, how much of each is in a dose, what else is in the product, and who should not take it. Reading them in that order tells you most of what you need.

The amount per dose is the line that matters

Compare the amount per dose, not per bottle, and compare it with the dose used in the research. A large number per bottle spread over sixty capsules can be a small number per day.

The warnings are not boilerplate. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or on chronic medication, that line is written for you.
